Visiting San Francisco and Free Things to Do

When it comes to traveling with a family, one of the fun things to do are free things, and San Francisco offers plenty. Doing free items keep stress from families and allows more money for other things such as, good food, souvenirs, and other special things you see, and weren't prepared for. San Francisco offers plenty of free things to do including the Golden Gate Bridge, Golden Gate Park, cable car museum, walking tours and a really neat San Francisco fire Department Museum

Of all of the things available in San Francisco, a must see and do with the family is the Golden Gate Bridge. This is one of San Francisco's unique artifacts, and anyone who's been to San Francisco has taken the time to go and see one of the only cable suspended bridges left in the United States. If you're up to walking, walking will give you views of the bridge and the time to enjoy it. There is plenty of San Francisco Bridge walking tours available, and on the way there are many items that may get pointed out that you would miss if you just drove right to it.

Golden Gate Park in San Francisco is an awesome park and surrounded by historical homes that have been remodeled and updated without losing that San Francisco style. This means at Golden gate Park, which is gorgeous and bigger than Central Park, you'll get a chance to see and envision what it might have been to live there in the early and late 1800's.

The cable car museum is another must for all families visiting San Francisco. This museum has education, excitement, and of course rides on the San Francisco cable cars. Something you don't want to miss during your visit to San Francisco.

The walking tours in San Francisco are a wonderful way to learn about the history, architecture, the great fire, and of course the great quake as well. Walking tours give you a view of San Francisco that you won't get when you're trying to find a parking space and fight traffic. Narrated by professional guides, not only are they amusing and fun, but educational too.

Another wonderful museum to stop by and see in San Francisco is the San Francisco Fire Department Museum. It's wonderful to see exactly how they tried to halt the big fire in San Francisco with horse-drawn wagons and new steam machines.

All of these wonderful walking tours, museums, and visits are free in San Francisco. But if you feel that they've done a good job in entertaining you, educating you, and showing you a good time to be sure to leave a donation or possibly purchase a souvenir in their gift shops. San Francisco offers a wealth of things to do for the whole family and a lot of it's free, so enjoy walking tours, museums, and proud San Francisco architecture.
